The ideal Cardiovascular Intensive Care ICU RN will have the ablility to demonstrate leadership through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of critical care patients in the CVICU Department. The RN will care for patients through remote monitoring with the goal of early detection of warning signs and clinical deterioration. Administering care for patients following open heart surgery. The CVICU RN’s may also provide acute care to heart transplant patients. This position will be a team that collaborates Cardiovascular treatments to a diverse population of critically ill adults across multiple hospitals.
Minimum of 1 year acute care in a hospital setting (within the last 12 months)
Current RN state license.
A minimum of one year as a cardiovascular critical care, two to three years preferred.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
Current ACLS and BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card.
CCRN preferred or willingness to obtain within four months of employment.
Proficiency with Windows-based computer skills and operations.
Evidence of collaborative practice with physicians.
Evidence of effective communication skills.
